Liberating Technologies, LLC (“LiberTech”)
recognizes your right to confidentiality and is committed to protecting your
privacy. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, and how we
use it.
References in this document to "e-fiducia” refer to the website found at
www.e-fiducia.com, owned and operated by LiberTech.
LiberTech, itself, collects information from our Users at several different
points on our website, and that information is subject to our control and this
Policy. Please note that there are limitations to LiberTech's control of
information provided in response to survey questions as described in the section
of this policy labeled "Survey Respondents".
We do not collect personal information when you visit our site unless you
register, or complete a survey.
Those using the "Contact Us" feature:
When you contact us via e-mail or use the "contact us" section of our website we
will request your name, e-mail address, mailing address, company name, phone
number and fax number. We use this information solely to respond to your
inquiries.
Survey Respondents:
People who use this site only to take or respond to surveys do not need to
provide personal data prior to, or after completing a survey or survey
questionnaire. However, the nature of our service means that in addition to
LiberTech, the American Bar Association (“ABA”) will use our site to collect
information through survey questionnaires. Participation in these surveys is
completely voluntary and the survey respondent therefore has a choice whether or
not to disclose personally identifiable information. However, survey responders
must remain aware that giving personally identifiable information in response to
a survey questionnaire will circumvent any protection that LiberTech could
provide as described in this Privacy Policy since all information you provide in
a survey will be released to the ABA conducting the survey in association with
LiberTech. LiberTech has no control over what information is requested by the
ABA, who may have its own different policies regarding the information it
collects through survey questionnaires. Concerned users should check with the
surveying organization to learn its privacy policy. In order to ensure that
surveying is done in a fair, just, and scientific manner, LiberTech may record
IP addresses of survey respondents. Releases of IP address information may
happen only as otherwise provided for under the Exceptions section of this
Privacy Policy. Without providing personally identifiable information we may
share aggregated demographic information about survey takers and survey results
with our partners and customers. This is not given as personal information that
can identify any individual person or any individual person's response to a
survey question.
Use of Personal Information:
Your personal information is never sold, rented, leased, traded, swapped,
marketed, exchanged, bartered, distributed, or disclosed in any way. We may
share general demographic information with advertisers and partners as
aggregated information that cannot be used in any way to identify you.
LiberTech will not send you unsolicited e-mail. We may offer you the option of
receiving emails or newsletter on matters of interest to you but only those who
accept by clicking Yes and give us their email address.
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users'
movement, prevent unauthorized tampering with our services, and gather broad
demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not generally linked
to personally identifiable information, although they may be recorded in
transaction log files to aid in security auditing. Log files include IP address,
domain name, pages visited, access times, browser type, referring pages, and
other information that is part of a normal Web page request. Those conducting
surveys may have their IP addresses (unique network identifying numbers)
recorded in order to prevent fraud or misuse.
Cookies
We may use "cookies" to reduce the time required to login, prevent use beyond
the User's authorization, and to facilitate a continuous and convenient survey
building or survey response session that may span multiple screens within the
web site during a particular visit or session. A cookie is a small amount of
information sent from a Web server to your computer. We use cookies to retrieve
information you previously provided to LiberTech so that you do not need to
reenter this information every time you login or move from screen to screen.
Cookies are not used to access information entered on the secure server; this
information can only be accessed when you enter your name and password. No other
company has access to our cookies. We do not use the cookie to track your
Internet activity once you leave LiberTech's website.
Links
This web site may contains links to other sites. Please be aware that LiberTech
is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage
our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy
statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable
information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this
Web site for LiberTech
Exceptions
Nothing in this Privacy Policy or the User Agreement may be construed as
stopping or inhibiting LiberTech's cooperation with law enforcement or
investigative agencies or court orders. Furthermore, nothing in this Privacy
Policy shall restrain LiberTech from investigating and prosecuting any users of
our site who attempt to defraud or damage us, or who violate our user agreement.
Therefore, LiberTech may share otherwise protected data with law enforcement or
investigative agencies, or as directed by court order. Also, when necessary to
diagnose and repair technical problems, LiberTech may examine or change any
data, computer code, or other information. Such examinations and change will be
restricted to technical personnel with a need to know. Survey responders must
remain aware that giving personally identifiable information in response to a
survey questionnaire will circumvent any protection that LiberTech could provide
as described in this Privacy Policy since all information you provide in a
survey will be released to the ABA who is responsible for conducting the survey.
LiberTech has no control over what information is requested by the ABA, who may
have different policies regarding the information it collects through survey
questionnaires.
